What your first session will be like:
You’ll have a chance to talk about what you like and don’t like about your typical day, from getting out of bed, mealtimes, school, relationships, homework, to going back to bed. Then we’ll come up with some plans about what we’ll do to make things better.
We’ll talk together with your parents and alone as well.
Next we’ll start to take a look at how your brain is working! In order to get good readings and a clear and accurate picture, we’ll clean off each small area on your scalp by rubbing with a little gauze and a little cleaning gel. We use EEG cables that we put on your head with a soft white paste that isn’t even very messy! Then you’ll look like this.
The treatments are fast and easy. For some you don’t have to do anything but rest comfortably, and for others you’ll watch a computer screen or listen to music. It’s fun to see your brain waves on screen!
